At Walnut Grove Coop we don’t just eat lunch we teach at lunch. Our facilitators help children to make positive relationships with other children. Lunch Bunch is one and a half hours long so that children have plenty of time to eat, socialize, and play. We generally spend an hour on the playground or explore the property on nature walks. At our facility, we have a small pond, a creek, woods, and a meadow.
Lunch Bunch also practices life skills. Our cooperative job chart assigns tasks such as sweeping, washing their own dishes, and helping to clean up their area.
